Dave Portnoy was raised by Jewish parents Linda and Michael Portnoy. In his personal life, he keeps his Jewish faith. He also identifies himself as a libertarian when it comes to political affiliation.
He Ran For Mayor Of Boston
Well…he tried to. In 2013, David attempted to run for mayor of Boston following the retirement of Menino. His attempt was unsuccessful. Dave wasn’t able to submit enough nomination signatures. He LOVES Pizza
If you surf the internet a lot, you probably have seen the show ‘One Bite With Davey Pageviews’ which is a show that Portnoy created. The show is about Dave reviewing pizza places across the United States and giving his unique perspective. His first goal was to review every pizza restaurant in Manhattan in 2017. Trouble With the Law
He has been detained twice for NFL-related issues. The first was when he and other employees from Barstool Sports handcuffed each other on the floor in front of the NFL headquarters. This was done as a protest for Tom Brady’s Deflategate suspension.
The second was because he created fake media passes for a press event. He was not allowed to attend the game and was placed in a holding cell for a portion of the Super Bowl.
Trouble With the National Labor Relations Board
Just two years ago, the National Labor Relations Board had reasons to investigate David. He had posted on his personal social media that he would illegally fire his workers if they were unionized or if they decided to unionize. During that year, an informal settlement was reached with the board and he was forced to delete his posts on social media as a result. He also had to delete any anti-union statements or material that Barstool Sports created.
He Is Separated
In 2009, Dave married Renee Satterthwaite but unfortunately it didn’t last. In 2017, the couple separated. Since then, he has been seen with a lot of different women. He is currently dating a Colombian Silvana Mojica.
