Caleb Pressley is a 28-year-old athlete and internet personality who hails from Asheville, North Carolina. He was born and raised in North Carolina and spent most of his childhood and young adult years there. His parents are Heather Lee Pressley and Billy Joe Pressley. Billy Joe, his father, was a race car driver for many years. The race car industry is somewhat of a family business as Caleb’s uncle and cousin are both part of the NASCAR family. All-Star Athlete
Caleb Pressley went to AC Reynolds High School. In AC Reynolds, Caleb was a well-loved athlete and participated in many sports including basketball, football, and even track. He seemed to be good at almost every sport he tried. After graduating AC Reynolds, Caleb went to the University of North Carolina and played college football as a quarterback for the Tar Heels.
“Supervisor of Morale”
Since he was so beloved, Caleb Pressley could not be let go from his team at the University of North Carolina. After he decided to stop playing football, the team wanted to keep him a member of the family. So the school employed him to support the team with counsel earning him the “Supervisor of Morale” title which was the first to be introduced by college football across the country. As Supervisor of Morale, He played a role in motivating team players and acted as the assistant coach at times. His football skills were put into teaching and preaching rather than letting them go to waste.
Communication Studies Major
Not only did Caleb play college football and serve as Supervisor of Morale during his time at the University of North Carolina, but he also majored in Communication Studies and minored in Stage Writing and Screenwriting. He also studied abroad for one semester during his junior year at the University of Edinburgh School of Diversity in Scotland.
First Appearance on Barstool Sports Led to Full Time Job
A funny fact about Caleb is his career direction. Caleb was invited to a show known as Rundown by Barstool Sports to discuss game stats and his role as Supervisor of Morale. As he was doing the interview, the founder of Barstool Dave Portnoy was amused by the way Caleb was handling the interview. Caleb had passively mentioned that he would love to work at Barstool. After the interview, Caleb was employed and began working for Barstool Sports after his graduation in 2015. He added a comedic side to Barstool and discusses various issues on the platform. He has worked at Barstool as a show host, journalist, and blog writer ever since.
Founder of The Dixie Tour
In his early days as a Barstool employee, Caleb Pressley had a very interesting idea for content. He asked Dave Portnoy if during college football season he could follow teams as they played across the country. The project was called The Dixie Tour. The tour involved four other members who acted as crew for videography and driving. They were all in their early 20s and managed to successfully attend various games across the tour. Along with football games, they also visited sorority and fraternity houses across campuses. This tour put Caleb on the map and helped Barstool Sports obtain new fans across the college demographic.
51 Strokes Podcast
Caleb Pressley has his own podcast called 51 strokes. The main goal of this podcast is to teach and inspire people to achieve whatever they put their minds to. The podcast follows Caleb on his journey to transform himself from an awful golf player to becoming one of the best in the world. Caleb plans to join the PGA Tour by 2030.
