Top 10 Dream Taylor Swift Collaborations We Need

Taylor Swift has had a very successful career. The “Folklore” singer’s discography covers several genres such as pop, country, folk, rock and alternative. Swift’s ability to dip into different genres doesn’t make her a stranger to collaborations. Swift has collaborated with artists such as Ed Sheeran, Phoebe Bridgers, Kendrick Lamar and Keith Urban. As long as Taylor Swift is making music, we can hope that she has more collaborations in mind.

Here are the top 10 dream Taylor Swift collaborations we need:

Kacey Musgraves

@spaceykacey

A collaboration between Kacey Musgraves and Taylor Swift would be epic. It might be a controversial take for fans on both sides. In the past, fans believed there was bad blood between Swift and the ‘Golden Hour’ singer over Twitter likes that have since been clarified and put to rest. A collaboration between them could produce a country pop song that mixes Swift’s country roots and Musgrave’s progressive lyrics. In an interview with HollywoodLife, Musgraves expressed interest in collaborating with Taylor Swift. “I am interested in collaborating with pretty much anybody. Anything that feels good. I mean I’m down for kind of whatever. I think she’s a great songwriter, so like, why not?,” said Musgraves. Let’s get these two in the studio as soon as possible.

Lana Del Rey

Taylor Swift Collab - Lana Del Rey

Taylor Swift collaborating with Lana Del Rey would be a dream come true. The ‘Blank Space’ singer previously expressed her admiration for Del Rey. Swift once cited Del Rey as “the most influential artist in pop,” while accepting The Woman Of The Decade honor at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards. There’s speculation that a collaboration is already in the works between Del Rey and Swift. Lana recently Instagrammed a selfie of herself, Swift and songwriter, Jack Antonoff. Antonoff has previously contributed lyrics for both singers on past projects. Fans are hoping that the selfie of the trio is confirmation that we’re finally getting the ultimate dream collaboration.

Post Malone

@postmalone

Another dream collaboration would be Post Malone and Taylor Swift. Post Malone’s music has been described as a mix of country, hip hop and grunge. The “Beerbongs & Bentleys” singer puts out pop ballads about heartbreak which might be the perfect match for Swift, considering many of her songs mirror her personal romantic relationships. Swift even praised Post Malone on his song “Better Now” at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards. In a video by Post’s manager Dre London, Taylor said, “‘Better Now’ is so insane guys. I’m so jealous of that song, that hook.” Many ‘Swifties’ fans ship this collaboration. One fan on Reddit said, “ I was just thinking last night that Taylor Swift and Post Malone would make a great song together and it would be a big radio hit.” Hopefully, Taylor’s praise goes beyond a kind gesture and stretches into a collaboration featuring Post Malone.

Hayley Williams

The longtime friends have yet to collaborate on a project together. Swift and Williams met at a Grammy party and were introduced by Taylor’s mom, Andrea Swift. Both singers were living in Nashville at the time and a friendship blossomed. Both have been supportive of each other’s careers. The Paramore singer appeared in Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video. Swift even invited Williams on stage during her “Speak Now” tour to sing Paramore’s “That’s What You Get.” A collaboration from the two of them would just make sense.

Lizzo

@lizzobeeating

Taylor Swift and Lizzo have successfully united their fan bases but a collaboration still hangs in the balance. Lizzo’s sound draws inspiration from Houston rap, gospel soul and her classical flute experience. Her music largely involves humor and charisma amidst themes of body positivity, race and sexuality. Though Taylor’s sound is much different, the two could create a collaboration that successfully blends both of their sounds while staying true to their individual artistry.

Grimes

Taylor Swift Collab - Grimes

@grimes

An interesting dream collab would certainly involve Taylor Swift and Grimes, who’s expressed her love for Swift’s album “Red.” Hearing Swift’s vocals in a dream pop, electronic song produced by Grimes would definitely be a unique experience. A fan on Reddit said, “I can’t even imagine what a Taylor song with Grimes would sound like.” Getting these two in the studio doesn’t sound like a terrible idea. Maybe we’ll get a sci-fi pop banger.

Dolly Parton

Taylor Swift Collab - Dolly Patron

@dollyparton

Two icons, Taylor Swift and Dolly Parton, should join forces to create an iconic dream collaboration. Swift cited Parton as one of her inspirations. The “Jolene” singer has praised Swift on multiple occasions, even telling Billboard that she “admires and respects” her. Two legends in one room could really make dreams come true.

Billie Eillish

Taylor Swift Collab - Billie Eilish

@billieeilish

Another collaboration that could make dreams come true would be Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift. Eilish’s whispery vocals would perfectly complement Swift’s gentle vocals. The “Ocean Eyes” singer previously shouted out Swift during her Woman Of The Year acceptance in 2019 and said, “You took care of me, so thank you.” Together, they could produce a slow, sultry pop ballad that could be a radio hit.

Hozier

Taylor Swift Collab - Hozier

@hozier

Hozier and Taylor would be a dynamic duo on a dream collaboration. The “Take Me To Church” singer’s music touches on genres like blues, folk and soul, often using religious imagery in his songs. The pair could definitely collab on a folk song, similar to ones on Swift’s recent albums “Folklore” and “Evermore.” One Reddit user said, “I would simply pass away if they ever collabed. They’re both incredible lyricists. I feel like they could make something incredible if they got to work together.” Fingers crossed this collaboration happens one day.

Stevie Nicks

Taylor Swift Collab - Stevie Nicks

@stevienicks

This one is a no brainer. Stevie Nicks and Taylor Swift would be a total dream collaboration. The Fleetwood Mac singer joined Swift on stage to sing Fleetwood Mac’s “Rhiannon” and Swift’s “You Belong With Me,” at the 2010 Grammy Awards. Swift said singing with Stevie Nicks was ‘unbelievable.” Nicks’ distinguishable voice would pair beautifully alongside Swift on a rock or folk song. They definitely need to make this happen.
