The streetwear community is deeply saddened by the untimely loss of Chris Printup, the visionary behind Born x Raised, fondly referred to as ‘Spanto.’
As the founder of Born x Raised, Spanto made remarkable contributions to the streetwear and fashion realm. However, his impact extended far beyond his creative fashion endeavors. He was renowned for his philanthropic efforts and unwavering dedication to his hometown of Los Angeles.
Spanto’s vibrant persona and distinctive style left an indelible mark, transcending the boundaries of fashion. His recent act of selflessness, where he generously donated his upcoming Nike SB collaboration to the entire graduating class of Venice High School, served as a testament to his generosity and unwavering commitment to the Los Angeles community.
Before passing, Spanto was eagerly anticipating his inaugural Nike SB collaboration which cemented his growing influence within the fashion industry.
Spanto passed away in a fatal car accident in New Mexico. RIP.
