The COVID-19 pandemic changed the way we work forever. As companies struggled to find ways staff could work together in close parameters, remote work became the prominent environment for many large companies. Once the pandemic ended, many employees refused to go back in the office creating the temporary solution of working remotely as a permanent stay.
Few companies benefited more from the remote work environment shift than Zoom Video Communications. During the pandemic years, Zoom saw a 418% growth in adoption rate in just two months. Today, Zoom Video Communications is the clear frontrunner when it comes to video conferencing.
Next year Zoom is teaming up with AMC Theatres to take your virtual meetings to the next level. The new partnership will open “Zoom Rooms” in 17 of AMC’s leading U.S. markets in 2023. Individuals will be able to book three-hour blocks in participating AMC theaters at a selected meeting time. The Zoom Rooms will have all the necessary equipment for large-scale corporate meetings and calls. Guests will also be able to request movie showings as well as food and beverages for an additional cost.
AMC CEO, Adam Aron, said of the new partnership:
“Through this partnership of Zoom and AMC, we have the best of both worlds…The spectacular communications platform of Zoom combined with the comfort, size, scale, and state-of-the-art sight and sound capabilities of AMC’s centrally located theatres. This creates an all-new product in major cities across the U.S. for companies and meeting planners.”
Official launch date and pricing was not revealed.
