Popular-Memphis based rapper, Young Dolph, was shot and killed today outside of a cookie store known as Makeda’s Cookie Shop in Memphis, Tennessee.
Memphis Police Chief, Cerelyn “CJ” Davis, said of the shooting:
“This shooting is another example of the senseless gun violence we are experiencing locally and nationwide. Our hearts go out to the Thornton family and all who are affected by this horrific act of violence”
Young Dolph released his debut album King of Memphis back in 2016. His fifth studio album called Rich Slave reached #5 on the Billboard 200 chart. Adolph Robert Thornton, Jr. was 36-years-old.
