Kanye West addressed rumors about a new solo album titled ‘Y3’, following Erick Sermon’s disclosure about the supposed project.
In an interview with HipHopDX, Sermon mentioned being called to Italy last year to collaborate on the album, suggesting a return to more traditional Hip Hop. He hinted at a revival of the “old Kanye,” encouraging him to rap in his earlier style.
However, Kanye refuted these claims upon learning of Sermon’s remarks. Responding to a fan account on Instagram (@yefanatics), West stated, “This is fake news. Ain’t no album called ‘Y3’. And ain’t nobody tryna be the ‘old Ye.’ When I made 808s [& Heartbreak] n-ggas was running round talking bought they miss the old Ye.”
