In a surprising move, the apparel and footwear conglomerate VF Corporation is reportedly set to acquire the streetwear brand Supreme. VF Corporation already owns brands like Dickies, Vans, Timberland, and The North Face. According to reports, it will soon be adding Supreme to that list.
The reported acquisition will be a $2.1 billion dollar deal according to WWD.
Supreme founder said of the acquisition:
“We are proud to join VF, a world-class company that is home to great brands we’ve worked with for years, including The North Face, Vans, and Timberland. This partnership will maintain our unique culture and independence, while allowing us to grow on the same path we’ve been on since 1994.”
