Fans of the popular social media app TikTok are now spending more time watching videos compared to users on the video giant YouTube.
According to a new study by App Annie which is a company dedicated to app analytics and app market data, TikTok users are now spending an average time of 24 hours a month watching TikTok videos. Current YouTube users have an average watch time of 22 hours per month.
This study is only limited to Android users so no telling if this still holds true for iOS users. While TikTok Android users are spending more time video streaming compared to YouTube users, YouTube still reigns supreme on overall video viewership thanks to its approximate two billion monthly users worldwide. TikTok only has an estimated 1.1 billion users according to Wallaroo Media.
