I’m sure most of you reading this are fully aware of the comeback that the dad shoes have made. We first saw them way back in the 80s or 90s when your parents would wear them and for awhile now they haven’t been popular. That is until rapper, icon, and legend Kanye West debuted his Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 “Wave Runner.” This launch happened back in 2017 which caused for many other shoe brands to follow suite. Now days you can see these chunky, stylish, and trendy dad shoes on the feet of many influencers and artists both nationally and internationally known.

New Balance has been around for many many years and still producing some of the trendiest shoes til this day. While the hype around this reinvented more modern day trend was going on New balance came out with their own style of dad shoes. Some can be seen with both shoe strings or even velcro straps. New Balance is not know for the bright and vibrant colors that you may see on the other dad shoe brands. They choose to gear their style towards a more subtle and neutral feel which makes it a bit easier to match up with a good outfit.

Fila is another brand that has been around since our parents were kids so it would only be proper that they got in on the action as well right? The most seen around dad shoe has to be the Fila Disruptor. Fila came out with their dad shoe and originally did it with the most classic colors, red, white, and blue. This sportswear brand went even farther to capitalize on the nostalgic old school feel by producing fashion that compliments the shoes so well. Since then they have hit us with a numerous amount of different colors but the original design will forever go down in fashion history. If you are looking to blend in with the crowd while not making your pockets hurt the Fila Disruptors are the way to go. These shoes are retailing at around $65 USD dollars.

Now if you are looking for a more high fashion dad shoe then you can’t go wrong with the Versace Chain Reaction dad shoe. These sneakers are so mean! They scream at you when you look at them. Each chain reaction shoe has something unique to them that is different from the other giving you such a wide variety to choose from. We have seen other shoe brands with wild things like fur on them but can you tell me when have you ever seen a shoe that has BRAILLE engraved on it!? This shoe is clearly for people who want to stand out and be seen. Versace really came through stomping in their shoe approach and deserve 10’s across the board for this one! Sheesh! All of these kicks are selling from anywhere around $800 USD and up. Versace definitely jumped on the dad shoe wave and became one of the top brands in this space.
