The much anticipated opening of the Super Nintendo World Theme Park is months away. The park was originally scheduled to open during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics but was delayed due to COVID-19. Now Universal Studios Japan plans to open the Super Nintendo World theme park February 2021.
With only two months away from opening its doors, Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto has released a video guided tour of the park.
Judging from the video, Super Nintendo World looks awesome. It is filled with characters and environments found in the classic Mario video game series from Toad to Bowser. Guests will also be able to collect virtual coins at the park through a special wristband.
