It seems Nike has a lot of big plans for the Air Penny line in 2022. Aside from a Air Penny 1 release next year, Nike will also be releasing the Air Penny 2 in collaboration with Stüssy.
Anfernee Deon “Penny” Hardaway was a four-time NBA All-Star and a two-time All-NBA First Team member. Penny spent six years with the Orlando Magic before playing for the Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks, and Miami Heat.
The Nike Air Penny 2 was Hardaway’s second signature shoe and first released in 1996. The shoe has been retroed before.
No official first looks yet, but below is a photo of the Penny 2 from the retro release in 2016 which was made for the shoe’s 20th anniversary. Expect a September 2022 release date.
