The British-founded American multinational auction company will soon be auctioning off its most expensive sneaker to date. Sotheby’s will be auctioning off Kanye West‘s Nike Air Yeezy sample which he wore during his 2008 Grammy Awards performance.

The super rare sneakers were the first pair of Yeezy sneakers ever revealed to the world. With a valuation of over $1 million USD, they are on pace to be the most valuable sneakers ever sold (excluding customized gold coated sneakers).

While many may argue they are not worth over $1 million dollars, these sneakers did in fact launch the Yeezy sneaker era making them a unique part of sneaker history.

The Nike Air Yeezy sample worn by Kanye West during his 2008 Grammy performance are a size 12 and being sold by a sneaker collector named Ryan Chang. The sneakers are available via private sale with offers available for submission via Sotheby’s.
