San Francisco is one of the few cities in America that requires indoor diner customers to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 to enter.
The popular California restaurant In-N-Out Burger has a location at Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco and it was recently shut down for refusal to abide by the city’s vaccine mandate. The San Francisco Department of Public Health closed the burger joint after it discovered the fast food restaurant was not checking the vaccination status of customers.
Arnie Wensinger, In-N-Out Burger’s Chief Legal and Business Officer, said of the situation:
“We refuse to become the vaccination police for any government. It is unreasonable, invasive, and unsafe to force our restaurant associates to segregate customers”
The San Francisco In-N-Out location has reopened since the temporary shut down, but indoor dining is currently unavailable.
