In a divisional game against the LA Rams, star quarterback Russell Wilson arrived in style and with the mamba mentality.
Ahead of yesterday’s game in Lumen Field in Seattle, Russell paid homage to basketball legend Kobe Bryant. Russell arrived wearing the Nike Zoom Kobe 6 ‘Grinch’ sneakers as well as a Kobe jersey with #8 on the front and #24 on the back.
Russell Wilson said in regards to his Kobe Bryant outfit selection:
“I think that the reason that I wore this jersey tonight, too, was I think about Kobe….Big championship matchup, everything that’s going on in 2020, to honor him. To have that mentality, Mamba Mentality. The reality of what this 2020 year has been like…He’s one of the first things that come to mind, in just what he represented, how he inspired people.”
The Seattle Seahawks defeated the LA Rams 20-9 clinching the NFC West. This makes it the team’s 11th division title in franchise history.
