The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) recently awarded Rihanna four more diamond certifications, bringing her total to seven.
According to the RIAA website, Rihanna and Jay-Z’s “Umbrella,” her collaboration with Drake “Work,” the song “Needed Me” from her album Anti, and her 2012 hit “Stay” all received diamond certification as of May 31. This follows her 2012 song “Diamonds” also achieving diamond status in April.
Roc Nation congratulated Rihanna, noting that she now holds the record for the most diamond-certified singles by any female artist, with seven to her name. Rihanna shared this news on social media, adding a playful comment.
In addition to these four new certifications and “Diamonds” achieving diamond status last month, Rihanna’s 2010 hit “Love the Way You Lie” featuring Eminem, and her 2011 collaboration with Calvin Harris “We Found Love” complete her impressive collection of seven diamond-certified singles.
