This fall, Pharrell Williams will be releasing his own film called ‘Piece by Piece’ documenting his life. In Pharrell’s true creative fashion, the movie will be in collaboration with LEGO Group and the entire film will take place in a LEGO universe.
The film will be directed by Academy Award winner Morgan Neville and produced by Neville and Caitrin Rogers alongside producers Pharrell Williams, Mimi Valdés, and Shani Saxon.
Director Morgan Neville said of the film:
“Five years ago, Pharrell Williams approached me with the idea of helping him tell his story through LEGO animation. It was one of those rare moments where I knew in a second that this was a journey I wanted to go on.”
Pharrell posted the film poster to his Instagram with the following caption:
“Who would’ve thought that playing with LEGO bricks as a kid would evolve into a movie about my life. It’s proof that you can do it too”
‘Piece by Piece’ will hit theaters on October 11, 2024.
