During Pharrell’s premiere of his Lego biopic, Piece by Piece, at the Toronto International Film Festival, PETA activists interrupted the event in protest of his role as Louis Vuitton’s men’s creative director. One protestor stormed the stage, holding a sign that read, “Pharrell: Stop Supporting Killing Animals for Fashion.”
While most would expect Pharrell to shut down the protestor, Pharrell instead kept his cool and listened to what she had to say and responded with “you’re right.” As security dragged the PETA protestor away, Pharrell made everyone in attendance say “god bless you” to the protester.
