Patagonia has officially shut down all of the company’s operations due to the recent Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. While companies are still trying to figure out if they will continue operating and if their employees will continue working, Patagonia has already made up their mind.
Company CEO, Rose Marcario, made a statement on the official company website stating the following:
To do our part to protect our community, we are temporarily shutting down our operations. This means we are unable to accept orders on this website. Please check back on Monday, March 16th at 4pm PT for an update. Thanks for your loyalty and patience.
Despite the fact Patagonia is shutting down all operations, it will continue paying all of its employees.
