Nike Sues StockX for Selling Nike Branded Sneaker NFTs

Nike Sues StockX

Nike has once again filed a lawsuit for trademark infringement and this time the swoosh is suing online sneaker reseller platform StockX.

Today, Nike filed a lawsuit in a New York federal court over the unauthorized sale of Nike sneaker non-fungible tokens also known as NFTs. The lawsuit claims StockX is infringing its trademarks and are possibly confusing customers into thinking the NFTs are being issued by Nike themselves. Nike believes StockX’s NFT business model has hurt Nike’s business reputation.

The lawsuit claims StockX has sold over 500 Nike-branded NFTs. Nike is seeking unspecified money damages and an order blocking further NFT sales. StockX has not yet publicly responded to the lawsuit.
