The 2016 NBA finals was one of the most memorable in league history. The Golden State Warriors arrived to the NBA finals with a record setting regular season of 73-9. For this year’s finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers arrived to the series with a full cast of LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving all in the lineup as opposed to last year’s finals. The 2016 NBA finals was also seen as a corporate competition between the two athletic apparel companies Nike and Under Armour. Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James is endorsed by Nike while Golden State Warriors star, Stephen Curry, is sponsored by Under Armour. In the end, Nike had its way with the Cleveland Cavaliers ultimately winning the NBA finals series.
