New Balance Signs First Women’s Basketball Player

For the first time ever, New Balance has signed a women’s basketball player to their roster. While most would expect New Balance to sign a professional WNBA player, the Boston-based brand has signed Stanford’s star forward, Cameron Brink, to a NIL deal.

For those unfamiliar with NIL deals, it stands for name, image and likeness and allows college athletes to receive financial compensation.

Cameron Brink is one of the best players in women’s college basketball with a trophy case that includes the NCAA title in 2021, 2023 WBCA Defensive Player of the Year, and 2023 FIBA 3X3 World Cup MVP.

Brink said of her new deal:

“I am honored and excited to join forces with New Balance,” Brink said. “Their ability to empower athletes perfectly aligns with my own values, and I look forward to this journey with them. I hope we inspire athletes around the world to fearlessly pursue their dreams.”

Cameron joins a stacked New Balance basketball roster which includes  Kawhi Leonard, Jamal Murray, and Zach LaVine.
