Following the controversial release of Lil Nas X’s ‘Satan Shoes’ in collaboration with MSCHF, Nike has been on the attack to prevent association with the shoes and put an end to the release.
Immediately after learning about the release, Nike issued the following statement:
“We do not have a relationship with Little Nas X or MSCHF. Nike did not design or release these shoes and we do not endorse them.”
Shortly after the statement, Nike filed a lawsuit against Lil Nas X and MSCHF for the release of the shoe without their authorization. A U.S. District Court in New York has just approved Nike’s request for a temporary restraining order against MSCHF blocking any further sales of Lil Nas X’s ‘Satan Shoes’.
Upon hearing the restraining order news, Lil Nas X lashed out at Nike and is very mad at the Swoosh brand. Lil Nas X angrily tweeted the following aimed at Nike:
