Kevin Durant recently showed a strong loyalty to Nike when he rejected Anthony Edwards’s request to wear his new Adidas signature shoes.
Edwards expressed a desire for Durant to wear his sneakers in a Nice Kicks video, but Durant firmly declined, stating, “Won’t EVER see me put a big toe in them Mfers.”
In response, Adidas defended the T-Wolves star, delivering a cold message on X (Twitter), but later deleted it. The deleted post from adidas had a message aimed at Durant’s career longevity, saying, “U dusty bouta retire soon anyway.”
After removing the initial post, Adidas followed up with another post taking shots at Durant’s history of using burner accounts. The follow-up post read, “Meant to send that from the burner account…”
