If you were Kanye West, how would you spend 30 million dollars? There are so many ways you could answer that question! Perhaps a new LA mansion? Maybe a yacht?
Kanye for years has found a way to stay in the public eye and continually do things that cease to amaze us all. Recently Kanye West has spent about $28 million to acquire two massive ranches in Wyoming. Exactly what he has planned isn’t totally known, but let’s talk about some interesting facts about Kanye West’s Wyoming ranch that we do know.
Kanye bought two separate ranches both believed to cost about $14 million each.
It has been reported that the property is relatively untamed with exception of cabins and barns that were originally on the land. Since he obtained ownership of the ranch he installed a music studio above one of the cabins and is storing pickup trucks, ATVs, and his personal tank (you read that right).
Change of Ranch Name
Officially the ranch has been renamed from the Monster Lake Ranch to ‘West Lake Ranch’ but Kanye has referred to it as the Yeezy Campus. He hopes that this property can be a type of medicine, one of “fresh air, fun, inspiration, and space” for his future campus.
Sheep Will Be Raised
It looks as if it won’t just be all four wheeling and meditation for West and the Kardashian crew. They are also planning on raising sheep! It is tough to imagine the Kardashians and Kanye herding and grooming sheep but he says he wants to use the wool for his Yeezy clothing brand.
The land is already full of wildlife. Multiple lakes full of fish, wild antelope, mule deer, elk, cows, and sheep.
There Will be Many People Present.
It won’t just be them on the ranch. Some well dressed help too! I’ve seen reports that all staff on the ranch properties such as housekeepers, nannies, and cooks will have uniforms consisting of the items from his latest Paris fashion show. There will also be a lot of architects and construction crews on the property helping build the many ideas of Mr.West into reality. He has a long list of famous architects on retainer for various building projects. People like Belgian interior designer Axel Vervoordt, Italian architect Claudio Silvestrin, and light and space artist James Turrell. He has worked with many of them before and they all have outstanding international reputations for their work,
Yeezy Amphiteater?
Exactly what they will be building isn’t quite known, but there have been reports that there will be an amphitheater. Some reports are an amphitheater large enough to house 100,000 people. To do this or any other large scale ideas would still take approval from local governments to grant building permits and other resources.
It will be interesting to see what comes from Kanye’s Wyoming Ranch acquisitions. He is always one to try new things, innovate to create his own ideas into reality, so I am sure this will be a large success for him. What exactly will it become I don’t think anyone can predict. I certainly would never have predicted for Kanye West to become a Wyoming Rancher!
