Kanye West may not have a new album coming out, but he has been working on new music. Some of this unreleased new music has been released by Instagram user @DaUnreleasedGod_ without permission and now they are being sued by Ye.
The Instagram account had previously released over 20 unreleased Ye songs such as “We Did It Kid” and “NASDAQ” as well as a DJ Khaled song all without permission.
Ye and his legal team have not identified the person behind the Instagram account, but believe it could possibly be someone who previously worked with Ye. Ye requires all collaborators to sign confidentiality agreements therefore they breached the contract by leaking the material in question.
The lawsuit reads:
“The Defendant, without authorization, license, or permission from Ye, improperly leaked, published and distributed multiple Listed Compositions including but not limited to the following found on ‘Instagram’ and ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter)”
Since the lawsuit was submitted, the Instagram account has been deleted.
