It seems for a few years now Kanye himself and many others have referred to him as “Ye”. After a Los Angeles judge approved a petition today, Ye is now Kanye’s new official legal name.
The name change comes with the removal of all other names which means Kanye no longer has a middle or last name (formally Kanye Omari West).
As a rare occurrence, Kanye seemingly decided to celebrate his new name change by posting on Instagram and debuting a new haircut. The caption to his post was simply “¥”.
