Kanye West, one of the most influential and controversial artists of our time, recently performed an unexpected cover of Justin Bieber’s hit song “Love Yourself.” However, it actually wasn’t West the human being who performed it.
Using AI technology, West’s vocals were synthesized to create a computer-generated version of the popular track. However, the result sounded so real many fans are concerned with the possible direction music could be heading. “This AI thing will cause problems” one Twitter user said.
While some fans may have been disappointed that they didn’t get to hear West’s actual voice, others were fascinated by the use of AI in music and what it could mean for the future of the music industry.
