Eminem, producer Benny Blanco, and the late Juice WRLD have dropped a new track called “Lace It,” following their 2020 collaboration on “Godzilla.”
“Godzilla” was featured on Eminem’s unexpected album “Music to Be Murdered By” in January 2020, was notable for being Juice WRLD’s first popular feature. Juice WRLD passed away in December 2019 at the age of 21. “Godzilla” achieved significant success, debuting and peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Juice WRLD’s mother, Carmela Wallace, expressed mixed emotions about the collaboration in a press release, stating that her son, Jarad, was a devoted Eminem fan and that while she’s happy he got to work with someone he admired, it’s bittersweet because he’s not here to enjoy the moment.
Additionally, Benny Blanco, who has previously collaborated with Juice WRLD on songs like “Black & White,” “Roses,” “Graduation,” and “Real Shit”, joins the lineup for “Lace It.”
