In case you didn’t know, John Mayer is a fan of watches and is one of the most avid watch collectors in the watch collecting game. Now the American singer-songwriter will have his own signature G-SHOCK watch available exclusively at HODINKEE.
For those unfamiliar with HODINKEE, it is a New York City based watch website. It is an e-commerce site for watches as well as a publication for the latest happenings in the watch industry.
John Mayer decided his first watch collaboration would be with none other than Casio’s G-SHOCK. John said regarding his signature G-SHOCK 6900 watch collaboration:
“When Casio approached me about the possibility of working together on a G-SHOCK, it actually timed out really well. I had already been pretty deep into wearing the ‘Mudmaster’ models, and something felt cosmically right about a G-SHOCK being the first watch collab I’ve ever done.”
For a man that is a fan of luxury watches, it is somewhat of a surprise that his first watch collaboration is a G-SHOCK. But for fans of the artist, we should be thankful for its affordable $180 dollar price tag.
