Ronnie Is From Queens
While his real name is Aaron, he prefers Ronnie and he was born in Jamaica, Queens, in New York. It was here where his big dreams began.
He Used to Work as a Stock Boy
Ronnie Fieg used to work as a stock boy and then a salesman for David Z which is a famous footwear chain belonging to his uncle. During his time here, he worked his way up to becoming a manager and then a head buyer. It was an excellent opportunity to grow his love and knowledge of shoes.
Social Media Helped Him Meet His Wife
Social media and a little help from his cousin, that is. When Ronnie was scrolling his Instagram feed one day, he noticed a picture that his cousin had posted. She was standing with two friends, and he texted her, asking who the girl on the left side of her was. She immediately responded, thinking they would be a good match and sent Ronnie the number.
After a couple of days, his cousin asked him if he had spoken to her, and Ronnie explained that he hadn’t because he’d never done anything like this before. He followed through when she encouraged him, and the two immediately began talking.
Got Married in Israel
Ronnie Fieg married Shir Yaakov in Israel, though they looked at other venues first. When Greece and California didn’t feel right, they decided on Israel. It made sense as they both had families that lived there. The couple thought it would be an excellent opportunity to show their friends their motherland as they are both Israeli-American.
To get the best view for their wedding, they chose Kochav Hayam which offered a great view of the sea. The wedding was intimate yet refined. The setting was elegant and beautiful with white flowers, fixtures, and the other regions.
Tommy Hilfiger Designed All of the Suits for His Wedding
Tommy Hilfiger created a personalized tuxedo for Ronnie and followed up with his groomsmen. Each of the tuxedos was personalized. The look was elegant, sleek, and clean. The groomsmen had peak lapels, and Ronnie wore a shawl collar.
Designed His Own BMW
Together with BMW, Kith designed a unique version of the BMW M4. Exclusive modifications were done to both the interior and exterior. Less than two hundred vehicles are available in this particular model as it is a limited edition.
He Has Done Over Fifty Design Collaborations
As of 2016, Ronnie has done over fifty collaborations with other brands. He is widely considered one of the most exciting and prolific sneakers collaborators and designers. Because of this, you will find that he has worked with brands like:

International Expansion
Kith has stores in Miami, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Los Angeles but two years ago, Ronnie opened his first store outside of the United States. Choosing London, the store stands at seven hundred square feet. You can find it in Selfridge’s Designer Street Room. The expansion outside of the country was considered a significant undertaking but it was a move that has panned out well.
He Loves Asics
Ronnie wanted a pair of Reebok Pumps when he was younger. His mother couldn’t afford them, so she got him a pair of Asics Gel-Lyte 111 instead. At first, he was disappointed and didn’t want anything to do with the shoes. However, as time passed, he grew to love them. The soles had holes in them before he stopped wearing them. Since then, he has worked with Asics and carries them in his Kith store.
