The number one social media platform for fashion is alive and well. Bloomberg recently reported Instagram made approximately $20 billion dollars in advertising revenue in 2019. YouTube made $15.1 million in the same time period. Facebook bought Instagram for $715 million back in 2012. The numbers came from an anonymous source close to the company. While a breakdown of figures was not reported, we are guessing a large amount of this ad revenue came from the fashion industry.
