The parent company of Facebook and Instagram, Meta, has just launched its paid verification for both social media platforms. Following in the footsteps of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram users can now pay to have a blue check mark.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said of the new verification launch:
“This new feature is about increasing authenticity and security across our services… you can get a badge, proactive impersonation protection, and direct access to customer support.”
The Meta Verified service is only available for personal accounts and will cost $14.99 per month for iOS and Android devices and cost $11.99 per month if purchased on the web.
