With Halloween only two months away, the preparations for the spookiest month of the year are now underway. Unfortunately, one of the biggest providers of Halloween candy has warned of a possible Halloween candy shortage this year.
The Hershey Company CEO, Michele Buck, recently stated that the company may not be able to meet the Halloween candy demand this year.
While Hershey candy will be available, it will not be in the customary Halloween-themed packaging as the company is battling supply chain issues. Michele said on an earnings call with investors this past Thursday:
“Given many of our everyday and seasonal products are made on the same line, we have needed to balance production over the past several months to improve everyday on-shelf availability and build seasonal inventory at the same time”
In some more positive Halloween 2022 news, The Weeknd will have his own haunted houses at Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights this year.
