As COVID-19 continues to alter the way the world operates, Gucci is one of the first major fashion houses that will attempt to adapt to the new normal by presenting their new collections in an entirely new way.
Gucci will be launching a digital fashion and film festival that will be held from November 16 to 22 where it will unveil its new collections as well as spotlight new fashion talent.
For what is probably the first time ever, Gucci has now taken on a new “seasonless” approach. Gucci Creative Director said of GucciFest:
“I would like to leave behind the paraphernalia of leitmotifs that colonized our prior world: cruise, pre-fall, spring-summer, fall-winter. I think these are stale and underfed words.”
GucciFest will screen a seven-episode series of short films called OUVERTURE of Something that Never Ended where Gucci’s new collections will be unveiled.
GucciFest will be streamed via guccifest.com and Gucci’s official YouTube channel.
