Megan Pete, AKA Megan Thee Stallion, is a true indication that everything is bigger in Texas. Although her fame came somewhat suddenly, Megan Thee Stallion has been rapping since her high school years. Her love for music is said to have started way before high school, when her mother, an aspiring singer/rapper, took Megan with her to her studio sessions. Megan took the world by storm the last couple of months by her unapologetic and bold rapping style. One song at a time, Megan Thee Stallion has been redefining the rapping scene for many female rappers in the industry. Apart from being a great rapper, Megan Thee Stallion’s sense of fashion and of course, her influential presence on social media, has landed her multiple fashion partnerships. Let’s take a look at Megan Thee Stallion’s fashion collaborations to date…
Megan Thee Stallion x Fashion Nova
Megan Thee Stallion is a tall girl who probably knows a lot about tall girl problems. One tall girl problem is finding jeans that actually fit past your ankles. Megan Thee Stallion decided to create a jeans line with Fashion Nova that will help tall women to finally have jeans that fit well. The Texas Southern University student was excited to share the news about her collaboration with Fashion Nova on her Instagram page. And judging from her fans’ reaction, this fashion collaboration will be very successful. Megan stated the Fashion Nova jeans collaboration will come to fruition “when the world goes back to normal” meaning sometime after the COVID-19 pandemic is over.
Megan Thee Stallion x Depop
Depop is widely known for reselling used clothes and accessories and it has done a great job at creating a name for itself in the online community. Early this year, Megan Thee Stallion partnered with Depop to sell pieces from her music videos at her Depop store, ‘Texas Fever’ to the people of Houston and across the country. Some of the pieces that can be found at Texas Fever are from her music videos, ‘Hot Girl Summer’, and ‘All Dat’. This particular online store will also be selling products from promising young designers from Houston, TX. The ‘Savage’ rapper said the collaboration with Depop was mainly to showcase Texans’ unique fashion sense and shine a light on the fashion designers in her home town who don’t get enough recognition for their work.
Megan Thee Stallion and Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty Lingerie Collection
In an interview, Rihanna described Megan as a risk-taker with an attitude, character, and personality. Rihanna also went on to say that Megan Thee Stallion was the kind of energy her brand was looking for. Megan represented the Savage x Fenty brand in April, when she was featured on its TikTok account, modeling its lingerie and dancing to her hit song, ‘Savage’. It was from this TikTok video that the famous #SavageChallenge was born. A challenge that quickly went viral among TikTok users, with its hashtag getting nearly 800 million views! Savage x Fenty later went on to feature Megan Thee Stallion in its 2020 social media campaign called, #SavagexTheeStallion. It would be safe to say that this is so far the biggest fashion partnership for Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.
Megan Thee Stallion’s star in the fashion world is rising fast and we have a feeling that this is just the beginning of a long successful career in both the fashion and entertainment industry. Expect many more fashion collaborations to come for Megan Thee Stallion!
