For the first time ever, a cannabis industry CEO is on the front cover of Forbes. Gilbert Anthony Milam Jr., also known as Berner, is a Bay Area rapper and entrepreneur who co-founded Cookies and is the chief strategist behind the explosion of the brand.
The Forbes cover is synonymous with business success so it is quite telling that the publication has decided to put the co-founder and CEO of the popular Cookies cannabis brand on the cover. In addition to cannabis, Cookies is also a popular clothing line which can be found in stores like Zumiez.
Berner said of the new cover:
“I’ve been in the legal cannabis industry for 20 years and have dedicated most of my life to this fight. As of right now cannabis is a $72 billion dollar industry that is only expected to grow in the coming years.
