Cam’ron Is Being Sued for Using His Pink Coat Photo on Merch

Cam’ron is being sued by photographer Djamilla Cochran for using her iconic photograph of him wearing a fuzzy pink coat and holding a pink flip phone without permission on various Dipset merchandise.

The lawsuit was filed in New Jersey federal court, and Cochran accuses Cam’ron of using the photograph on items such as t-shirts, jewelry, and shower curtains sold by his merch line Dipset Couture. She also claims that he posted the photo on his Instagram account to promote the merch drop.

Cochran’s lawyers state that Cam’ron was notified multiple times by Getty Images that he had used the image without the required license to do so. Despite this, he continued to sell the merchandise and display the photograph on his website and social media accounts.

The photograph was taken in 2003 and has become one of the most iconic images in hip-hop.
