FaZe Clan, the professional esports and entertainment organization is having a great week. Earlier this week, Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons joined FaZe Clan as a content creator under the name FaZe Simmo and today they announced via their Twitter page that Bronny James also has joined the FaZe clan.
If you are unfamiliar with FaZe Clan, they are an esports organization based out of Los Angeles, CA and have been around since 2010 with the original name of FaZe Sniping. This esports and entertainment organization has players from around the world who specialize in Call of Duty, Counter-Strike, Global Offensive, FIFA, Fortnite, and more. They compete in gaming competitions, have a successful Youtube channel and other streaming platforms, sell apparel, and more.
In recent years as the popularity of esports has risen, FazeClan has evolved its brand and even have celebrity investors such as Swae Lee, Yo Gotti, Pitbull, and radio host Big Boy just to name a few. Stats Mash estimates that the YouTube channel operated by FazeClan was worth $1.1 Million dollars as of August 2020, so the investors could possibly be making a healthy return. Now that they have Bronny James on their roster it will be interesting to see if the ties to Lebron James can help the clan get more high level names on their roster.
In the clip released on their Twitter account it showed footage of Bronny playing Fortnite and Call of Duty but didn’t give much detail to his planned involvement. Bronny is still in High School, the first of FaZe to have to balance High School with his pro esports debut. Dexerto speculates that his role will be more focused on content creation than competitive game play but we will just have to wait and see.

One thing that you can say for sure is that the popularity of Bronny James can only help Faze Clan and the esports world. At the age of 15, Bronny already has an online following of 4.3 million fans on TikTok, 5.4 Million on Instagram, and more than 300,000 followers on the streaming service, Twitch. Those numbers help make sense why James was someone they wanted to add to their clan. That is a lot of people that can easily be accessed to show off new merch, advertise events, really anything that Faze Clan wants to do. Don’t forget too that he has that much of a following before he has even played college or professional basketball player. A following built off of showing off his extreme talents and being very personable in his online content.
If you are into the esports world and want to join Bronny as a member of FaZe Clan you can join their search for new members by going to their website and filling out an application.
