Beginning in 2020, A BATHING APE and COMME des GARÇONS have teamed up for exclusive seasonal collections, available only at their shared shop-in-shop within the COMME des GARÇONS OSAKA store in Japan. To commemorate five years of collaboration, these iconic Japanese brands are releasing a distinctive 5th anniversary collection featuring apparel, footwear, and accessories.
The collection merges the unique styles of both labels, offering co-branded, mostly monochromatic items like camo-printed T-shirts, caps, lightweight jackets, socks, and more. A splash of color appears on a pop art-inspired T-shirt with five layered “APE HEAD” logos, presented in a soup can-style package as a homage to Andy Warhol.
The footwear includes an all-white leather BAPE STA sneaker, with “COMME des GARÇONS” printed in grey on the side panels and a debossed “5” on the heels to mark the five-year milestone.
The BAPE x COMME des GARÇONS 5-Year Anniversary collection launches Tuesday, April 29th, exclusively at COMME des GARÇONS OSAKA.
