BAPE, adidas Basketball, and Damian Lillard are collaborating again on the adidas Dame 9.
This follows their 2018 release of three Dame 4 colorways featuring BAPE’s signature camo. The latest Dame 9, revealed during NBA All-Star Weekend, will get a similar treatment.
One colorway, the “Olympic” theme, is inspired by Lillard’s time on Team USA at the 2020 Olympics. It features a red, white, and navy color scheme, with BAPE’s ABC LINE CAMO on the navy upper and SOLID CAMO on the white overlays. Gold foil accents, including the APE HEAD logo on the heel, complete the design.
The “Olympic” colorway is expected to be a friends-and-family exclusive, previewed by figures like Sean Wotherspoon and Shigeyuki Kunii of mita sneakers. However, two other colorways, one green and one red, will be available to the public. The footwear will be part of a BAPE x adidas x Dame apparel collection.
