Ariana Grande’s music video for “The Boy is Mine” has arrived, starring Gossip Girl’s Penn Badgley.
Set in a fictional rat-infested city, the video features Badgley as a mayor planning to release cats to combat the pest problem. Grande, in a masked outfit, uses a homemade love potion to make him fall for her, breaking into his house in the process.
Brandy and Monica make a fun cameo as newscasters, fitting since the song reimagines their 1998 hit.
Initially leaked in 2023 as part of a comedy sketch, the track received positive fan feedback, prompting Grande to turn it into “The Boy is Mine.”
