The Mexican holiday known as Day of the Dead or “Día de los Muertos” is just around the corner. As is customary in Mexico, every November 1 and 2 family and friends gather to celebrate and remember those close to them who have died.
Nike is honoring the holiday this year with the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Siempre Familia” release. The sneaker will pay tribute to the Mexican holiday and tradition. The shoe design itself resembles patterns and colors of Aztec warriors and Mexican culture. Shoe tongues have the words “Familia” on the right foot and “Siempre” on the left.
