The coronavirus epidemic scare continues to sweep the country of China. The two fashion sportswear giants Adidas and Nike have now decided to close many of their stores across China. Adidas and Nike are not the only major companies shutting down stores as Apple and McDonalds have also already done so. Nike CEO said of the closings, “First and foremost, our thoughts are with the people affected and we remain focused on the health and safety of our teammates and partners…despite this difficult situation, Nike’s long-term opportunity to continue to serve consumers in Greater China with inspiration and innovation remains exceedingly strong.”
No word yet on when Adidas and Nike plan to reopen their stores.
