Chrissy Teigen and John Legend dressed up as Kentucky Fried Chicken for a pajama party yesterday. While the outfits were very cute, some people voiced their disappointment. It so happens John Legend dressed up as fried chicken on Martin Luther King Junior’s birthday. Fried chicken is often referred to as a disrespectful stereotype to black people as their food of choice. Martin Luther King Jr. fought for the equality of all African-Americans which seems to contradict what John Legend (a black man) decided to wear on his birthday. Chrissy Teigen recently signed a sponsorship deal with Kentucky Fried Chicken. Is John Legend a coon or was it simply a coincidence?
