Fans of Euphoria will have to wait a bit longer for the third and final season, but the show has set a production date with the main cast on board.
On Friday, July 12, HBO announced that filming would begin in January, featuring cast members Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow.
“I am thrilled that we are ready to begin production on Euphoria in January,” said Francesca Orsi, Executive Vice President of HBO Programming and Head of HBO Drama Series and Films. She added, “We could not be happier with our creative partnership with Sam and this incredible cast. We look forward to bringing this new season of Euphoria to life for the fans.”
Barbie Ferreira will not return, and Angus Cloud, who played Fezco, passed away at 25 from an accidental overdose last July. The new season’s plot is rumored to include a time jump, following the second season’s finale police standoff at Fezco’s home.
During the two-year hiatus, HBO denied cancellation rumors.
