AI has been the talk of the town in technology circles as of lately. People from all walks of life are wondering how AI will affect the lives they live.
A possible glimpse into the future of restaurants was recently unveiled by McDonald’s as it opened its first AI powered restaurant location. The AI powered McDonald’s is located just outside Fort Worth, Texas.
Instead of being greeted by a human at the drive-thru window, a machine pushes orders to customers via a conveyor belt. The location also has no employees taking orders instead only offers mobile or touchscreen ordering.
McDonald’s claims it is only a test location at this point and the goal of the test is to improve order speed and accuracy as opposed to replacing human workers. Take a look at the robot powered McDonald’s below!
