PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is calling on women to go on a sex strike against men. However, not all men but only against men who eat meat.
PETA claims eating meat is a sign of toxic masculinity and is killing the planet. A PETA representative said of their call-to-action:
“We know that artery-clogging meat increases the risk of erectile dysfunction and every meaty meal is throwing us closer to an environmental catastrophe, there’s absolutely nothing sexy about it.”
The PETA Australia representative said the announcement was designed to be more of a conversation starter and then added “we really don’t care about your sex lives.”
