To celebrate the 10th anniversary of his Thursday mixtape, The Weeknd has linked up with Japanese artist MR. for a collaborative merch collection celebrating the rerelease of the classic mixtape.
Thursday was the second mixtape The Weeknd ever released following the release of his House of Balloons mixtape. Thursday was first released all the way back on August 18, 2011 and can now be streamed as an independent album on Spotify and Apple Music 10 years after its release date.
MR. said of his work on the latest merch and rerelease:
“I was honored to be asked to create the artwork for the album Thursday’s 10th anniversary release…I wanted to evoke a sense of daily life in my version of the cover. I hope The Weeknd fans will enjoy a week like this.”
