To commemorate the 4/20 “holiday” this year, adidas has called up South Park’s “Towlie” character for a special colorway of the adidas Campus 80 sneaker.
As we all know, 4/20 celebrates the unofficial stoner holiday. So adidas thought it would be clever to release a shoe around that date honoring a stoner. For those unfamiliar with South Park, Towlie is a government secret, scientific experiment towel that gets special powers from getting high.
The sneaker has a purple terry cloth upper to replicate the look and feel of Towelie. Towelies’ distinctive eyes can be found on the tongue of the sneaker which turn red when exposed to UV light.
The South Park x adidas Campus Towelie 4/20 sneaker will be available sometime around April 20, 2021 at adidas.com and select retailers.
